Ace directors Mani Ratnam, Shankar and Bala will launch the music of Jiiva-Tapasee's romantic-action flick Vandhan Vendran in Chennai on May 21, 2011. The film is directed by Kannan, an associate of Mani Ratnam. Thaman is the music director. Director Kannan is confident that Vandhan Vendran will be a winner.
Jiiva plays the role of a struggling boxer who fights hard to achieve his goal. The actor has undergone some rigorous training for this film. Tapasee plays an architect. The team recently completed a 23-day schedule in the forests at Kerala-Karnataka border.
Vandhan Vendran takes place in Mumbai, but is also shot in Chennai and Kerala. An important flashback scene has also been shot in Podinayakanur (Madurai). The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures of Boss Engira Baskaran fame.
